CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2015 Women's Indoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC team Monday.
Of the 156 student-athletes named to the team, seven of them recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average; Claudia Garcia Jou (Akron, Physical Education), Jordann McDermitt (Eastern Michigan, Exercise Science), Morgan Bing (Kent State, Nursing), Samantha Tollerud (Kent State, Pre-Physical Therapy), Asia Thomas (Northern Illinois, Sport Management), Madeline Pacella (Toledo, Criminal Justice), and Maria McDaniel (Western Michigan, Occupational Therapy).
Kent State leads the conference with 22 student-athletes receiving academic honors. Ohio follows close behind with 18, while Central Michigan and Bowling Green each place 15 ladies on the team.
