The offense of the MAC champions continued to sputter against the Fighting Irish.
Miami's successful season ended with a whimper as the RedHawks (35-23) recorded only three hits in 24 at-bats against #20 Notre Dame, following their offensive woes against #2 Michigan earlier in the day. Starting pitcher Carly Mortenson got rattled early, giving up four hits in one and two-thirds innings, which led to Amber Logemann coming in to take the lion's share of the innings.
Notre Dame struck first with a RBI double from Michaela Arizmendi in the first inning and added another run in the second before Logemann came in to pitch for the 'Hawks.
