AVON, Ohio – To kick off the 2016 Mid-American Conference Baseball Championship, the MAC, T3 Performance, and the 11 MAC baseball teams hosted a Meet n' Greet at All-Pro Freight Stadium Tuesday night. Nearly 150 kids from the local elementary schools in the Avon area participated in the event.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for our players and the teams in the conference to interact with the kids in the community,” said Toledo head coach Cory Mee.
At the beginning of the season, 21 classrooms, 429 students, from two schools, grades third through sixth, were paired with each of the 11 MAC baseball teams.
