This past season, one of the top defensive players in the country played for Kent State. Demetrius Monday, who was rated as a 3-star coming out of HS, was in the top eight nationally this past season with six interceptions. Earlier this month, Kent State added a new commit who may well have the chance to replace Monday when the time comes. Jamal Parker, a 2-Star CB from Camden Catholic HS in Cherry Hill, NJ, announced his commitment to the Golden Flashes on Twitter.

Parker had a very impressive Senior season, and he will have a chance to build on the progress he made this past season when he makes his way to Dix Stadium in the fall.
