MUNCIE, Ind. -- Fourth-year head coach Mike Neu is looking at a strong core of returning lettermen and starters to make another leap for the Cardinals football program in challenging for the always competitive MAC West Division title and regain bowl eligibility. Ball State finished last season with a 4-8 overall record, including 3-5 in the MAC, which was a two-win improvement from the previous season. Overall, Ball State’s last bowl appearance was six years ago during the 2013 season with a 10-3 overall record and an invitation to the GoDaddy Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
