MUNCIE, Ind. – Former Ball State quarterback Mike Neu returned to Muncie last season to lead the Ball State football program and is aiming to get the Cardinals back to bowl eligibility for the first time since 2013. Last season the Cardinals concluded with a 4-8 overall record, and a 1-7 MAC record in the tough MAC West Division.
Neu has 34 letterwinners returning this season, including 11 starters (6 offense, 4 defense, 1 specialist). The Cardinals open the season at Illinois on Sept. 2, before hosting UAB on Sept.
