12 Teams I 12 Days: 2016 Ball State Cardinals Football Preview

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State Cardinals welcome former Cardinal Mike Neu who was hired as the program's 17th head coach this past January. Neu, who brings 15 years of coaching experience with stops in the NFL, Division I FBS football and the arena leagues, served the previous two seaons as the quarterbacks coach for the New Orleans Saints. As a collegiate quarterback, Neu led Ball State to the 1993 MAC Championship and was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year.

The 2016 season will witness 18 returning starters and 37 letterwinners for the Cardinals from last year's squad that finished 3-9 overall, 2-6 for fifth place in the MAC West Division.
