Two Players Leave Michigan Before Start Of Spring Practice

Two players have left the Michigan Wolverines just before the start of the spring practice. Senior wide receiver Da'Mario Jones and senior offensive lineman Blake Bars left the program. Neither player saw the field much at Michigan.

Jones caught just two passes for 13 yards during his time at Michigan. He caught one ball for two yards in head coach Jim Harbaugh first season at the helm of Michigan. He appeared in 11 games as a true freshman, but played in only 12 during the last two years.

Bars played in just eight career games as a backup offensive lineman. Although Michigan is thin at offensive line, Bars likely wasn't going to make much of an impact.

In a position change, Chase Winovich is now a defensive end. The redshirt sophomore played tight end last season after being listed at linebacker his freshman season.

The Wolverines are in Bradenton, Florida for the first part of their spring practice. Michigan started the first of their four practices at IMG Academy Monday.
