TE Jake Butt Will Return To Michigan For Senior Season

The Michigan Wolverines will have their star tight end for another season. Jake Butt announced Tuesday afternoon that he'll return to Michigan for his senior season. Butt made the announcement on Twitter.

"My heart and soul is with Michigan and I'm excited to return for my senior year and play for the most historic university and the greatest coaches in college football," Butt tweeted.

Butt was split on returning as of yesterday, but now feels comfortable returning for one more season. Had he turned pro, Butt likely would have been a borderline third round draft pick. That was his cut off point.

"If I wasn't in the top three rounds I'm coming back no question," Butt said. "It would have to be a top-three round deal for me to consider coming out."

Butt was one of Michigan's top targets this season. He reeled in 48 passes for 620 yards and three TDs. He developed into one of team's most reliable targets.
