Michigan moved to 2-0 on the season Monday evening, but neither of the first two outings have been easy. The Wolverines carried just a three point advantage into the final seven minutes against Central Michigan, surging forward with a 6-0 run at that time, and holding on to a 72-65 victory.
Central Michigan had a hot shooting night from long range, hitting 10-of-24 shots from beyond the arc. Leading by as many as eight points in the first half, the Chippewas were led by Shawn Roundtree, who surprised the Wolverines with a 21-point outing.
“The kid Roundtree wasn’t on anybody’s scouting [report],” John Beilein noted.
