Ron Johnson was in town on an unofficial visit with a large group from the east coast, and ultimately announced in favor of the Maize and Blue.
“First I would like to thank God for blessing me with all the opportunities to continue to play football, and thank my parents, teammates, coaches, friends and family for helping me with this decision,” Johnson posted on Twitter.
