Wolverines add dual-threat 2016 quarterback

Michigan already has a drop-back passer committed to the 2016 recruiting class in Brandon Peters, and on Monday the Wolverines added to their list of options in the backfield with dual-threat quarterback Victor Viramontes of Norco, Calif.

“Thank you for every coach that has recruited me,” Viramontes posted on Twitter. “After much thought with my family, I would love to extend my education at the University of Michigan.”

Standing in at 6-1, 205 pounds, Viramontes also carried scholarship offers from Nebraska, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech and others. He is rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals and Scout, and has not been ranked by 247 Sports or ESPN.
