Isaiah Livers finally was able to show off his transformed, slimmed down physique in game action and proved the hype was real, finishing with 20 points and six rebounds in Michigan’s exhibition 82-51 win over Saginaw Valley State on Friday night.
The Wolverines started fast, but shooting woes, turnovers and some bad defensive stretches allowed the Cardinals to get back into the game before Michigan woke back up and ran them out of the building.
Livers wants to see more from his teammates after getting up big early in a game situation.
“Man, I don’t want to point any fingers, but we’ve got to do a better job,” Livers said after the game.
