ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's basketball sophomore forward Moritz Wagner was named today (Thursday, Feb. 9) as a CoSIDA Academic All-District 5 first team member. He is the first Wolverine to receive the honor since Zack Novak earned his third straight award in 2012.
Wagner was joined on the District 5 team by Sherron Dorsey-Walker (Oakland), Matt O'Leary (IUPUI), Alec Peters (Valparaiso) and Caleb Swanigan (Purdue).
Wagner, who is interested in pursuing a sport management degree, has started all 24 games this season and is averaging 11.
