UM’s Chesson, Johnson healthy, ready to practice

Ann Arbor – Michigan receiver Jehu Chesson and running back Drake Johnson said they are healthy and ready for the start of preseason camp on Monday.

Chesson, voted the team MVP last season, injured his knee (posterior cruciate ligament) in the bowl game on New Year’s Day, and Johnson, who has endured two ACL knee injuries during his Michigan football career, was run over by a forklift in the UM indoor track building in April.

Johnson declined to give further details beyond the police report regarding his injuries.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has been vague regarding Chesson’s availability for camp.
