In the moment following the passing of former Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions coach Gary Moeller, tributes and statements poured in.
For 23 years, Moeller served as an assistant, and eventually head coach at U-M. On the U-M Football twitter page, a special video was made to honor the former coach.
Current Wolverines head coach, Jim Harbaugh released a statement regarding his former coach:
"The football world lost a great man in Gary Moeller. Coach Moeller cared for his players and his teams and was devoted to the University of Michigan. He gave a lot to the game of football, excelling as both an offensive and defensive coordinator and head coach in the college and NFL ranks.
