Michigan added a verbal commitment this morning from four-star running back AJ Dillon of Groton (Mass.) Lawrence Academy.
The 6-foot, 228-pounder is the seventh member of the Wolverines' 2017 class. He's ranked by rivals.com as the No. 1 prospect in Massachusetts and the No. 16 running back nationally.
Dillon also reportedly had scholarship offers from Florida State, Iowa, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin, among others.
"I am truly blessed to be able to announce that I have verbally committed to THE University of Michigan," Dillon wrote on Twitter.
Verbal commitments are nonbinding until national letters of intent are signed next February.
