U-M emerges from submarine with confidence, knowledge

Camp Harbaugh is done.

The submarine surfaced.

Commanding officer Jim Harbaugh came out, wearing khakis and a baseball cap, of course. He looked around at the media Thursday afternoon in his first news conference since going into “the submarine” at the start of preseason camp, cracked some jokes, smiled and spoke for a good 20 minutes, without really say anything, which was totally expected. There is no strategic advantage in disclosing the starting lineup, especially not at quarterback. So he didn’t.

And then he disappeared again.

Close the hatch. To your battle stations.

“We were truly in a submarine,” guard Kyle Kalis said.
