U-M assistant women's gymnastics coach resigns after indecent conduct charge

ANN ARBOR -- University of Michigan women's gymnastics assistant coach Scott Vetere has resigned amid allegations of indecent conduct outside an Ann Arbor apartment complex, according to a U-M spokesperson.

Vetere, 39, and an 18-year-old U-M student were each cited on Oct. 8 about 9 a.m. with a misdemeanor charge of indecent or obscene conduct in public outside apartment complex at 625 Hidden Valley Club Drive, according to a police report obtained by MLive.

Officers witnessed Vetere and the student engaging in sexual activity in a parked car, according to the police report.
