Turning Point: Capitalizing on the opportunities presented

The Michigan Wolverines are Big Ten Champions for the third year in a row, grinding out a 26-0 win over No. 16 Iowa on Saturday night. It was not the prettiest display, with the Wolverines up just 10-0 heading into halftime, but the game never felt in doubt, even if it was tough sledding on offense.

Michigan was forced to punt after a couple first downs to open the third quarter, and Tommy Doman pinned the Hawkeyes deep. The defense blitzed on second down, knocking the ball out of Deacon Hill’s hands and straight into the air, nearly brought in by Kenneth Grant.
