The Michigan cornerback said he lost 35 pounds and spent a month in hospital with during colitis bout.

Michigan cornerback Ambry Thomas dealt with colitis over the summer and did not even know if he would play this season for the Wolverines. Not only did he check that box, but he started just weeks after his coach revealed he was not on the practicing roster heading into fall camp.

Thomas spoke to the media on Monday afternoon about his road back, where he revealed that he spent a month in the hospital and lost about 35 pounds this summer. It was a long road back to the field and doctors told him that the chances of him playing this year were slim and he would probably have to redshirt.
