ANN ARBOR -- Moritz Wagner would disagree with the premise that, in forgoing his final season of collegiate eligibility to enter the NBA draft, he is leaving Michigan "early."
NCAA rules would allow Wagner to play another season at Michigan. He considered doing that, just as he considered leaving after last season. Each time, he had to choose between what he considered two great options.
Last May, after going through the draft combine, he realized he wanted to return to Michigan. He loved college basketball. He loved college. He wasn't ready to be an adult.
