Former Michigan quarterback Wilton Speight has decided to take more time to determine where he will land as a graduate transfer and will wait until the summer to enroll.

Speight was the starter the last two seasons, but in the Big Ten opener last fall at Purdue, he suffered three fractured vertebrae and missed the rest of the season. He started 16 games for the Wolverines and was named the team’s Most Improved Player following the 2016 season.

After the 2017 season, Speight announced on social media his plans to leave Michigan and transfer for his final year of eligibility.
