Son of Bo Schembechler says he was abused by Robert Anderson, to go public with claims on Thursday

Matt Schembechler, the adopted son of former Michigan Wolverines head football coach Bo Schembechler, will be present at a news conference on Thursday going public that he is among the victims of Dr. Robert Anderson’s sexual abuse in Ann Arbor.

A news release from his attorney states that Schembechler will “set the record straight regarding his own abuse” and will share with the public his father’s “failure to protect him and other athletes.” He says that he was abused when he was 10 and that he shared this with his late father and former athletic director Don Canham.
