The Wolverines have been on the market for a new athletic director since Halloween of 2014 when David Brandon was dismissed from the position. The role has been filled since that time by interim A.D. Jim Hackett, who despite making a number moves generally thought to be positive, does not want to continue in the position. Multiple reports are now surfacing that Warde Manuel will be hired as the new athletic director.
The first to reveal the news was former Boston Globe sports writer Mark Blaudschun, who reported of Manuel’s impending hire on his website.
