Red Berenson inducted into U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame

The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame announced Thursday Michigan hockey legend Red Berenson will join its 2018 class.

The two-time national championship-winning coach joins a five-person class to be inducted Dec. 12 at the JW Marriott in Nashville.

Gordon Arthur “Red” Berenson dedicated most of his professional life to Wolverine ice hockey. He coached for 33 seasons, leading them out of the malaise of the late 70’s and early 80’s.
