Quintel Kent will not play in 2019 due to ‘unfortunate medical findings’

Quintel Kent was gearing up for his first season of college football with the Michigan Wolverines, but it has come to an end before it ever really started as the program continues to roll through fall camp.

The freshman wide receiver posted late Sunday that due to “unfortunate medical findings,” he will not be able to play this year. Below is the full statement from his Twitter account.

Michigan will still honor his scholarship and says that they will provide whatever support is needed to him moving forward. No other information has been made available about his medical status or what the ailment is.
