On Wednesday evening, Michigan safeties coach George Helow extended an offer to 2022 three-star linebacker Devin Smith.
The new Michigan assistant hasn’t extended too many offers up to this point, but this one shouldn’t be a surprise. He was recruiting Smith at his last stop, and it seems like he is going to make him a priority at U-M.
“Coach Helow was the one who recruited while he was at Maryland and has always let me know that I’m a huge priority to him,” Smith told Maize n Brew. “We just chopped it up and he filled me in on all the new coaches that were signed along with him.
