Niyo: UM’s offense continues to be irresistable force

Ann Arbor — D.J. Durkin saw the move Wilton Speight made to sidestep the pass rush. He saw the double move Jehu Chesson made to shake free down the sideline, too. And by the time Maryland’s first-year head coach saw the latter cradling another six points in the back of the end zone late Saturday afternoon at Michigan Stadium, he looked like a man who’d seen enough.

Durkin, who’d stood on the other sideline a year ago as Michigan’s defensive coordinator, dropped his head, hunched over and put his hands on his knees. The score was 35-0 and it wasn’t yet halftime.
