NCAA baseball tournament: Michigan, Central Michigan headed to South Bend Regional

Two Michigan teams, one NCAA baseball regional.

The Michigan Wolverines and Central Michigan Chippewas are both headed to South Bend for their opening NCAA baseball tournament games.

CMU (40-16) faces No. 10 Notre Dame (30-11) while U-M (27-17) plays Connecticut (33-18).

The Chips have an automatic berth by virtue of clinching the Mid-American Conference title with a win in their first game Sunday against Toledo. They won the second game a doubleheader to finish 31-9 in MAC play.
