NBA draft: Michigan basketball's Caleb Houstan picked by Orlando Magic in second round

Three months of mystery and misdirection ended Thursday when former Michigan basketball small forward Caleb Houstan heard his name called in the 2022 NBA draft.

Houstan, who arrived in Ann Arbor as a five-star recruit and stayed just one season, was selected by the Orlando Magic with the 32nd overall pick in the second round.

The path from Crisler Center to the NBA was an unusual one for Houstan, who endured an up-and-down freshman season in which he averaged 10.1 points and four rebounds per game while shooting 38.4% from the floor and 35.
