NEW YORK — Zavier Simpson had never lost before at Madison Square Garden.

Entering Saturday's contest against Rutgers, Michigan basketball's senior point guard held a 6-0 record at The Garden. The Wolverines won two non-conference games there during Simpson's freshman season. In 2017-18, they won four consecutive games at the arena to capture the Big Ten tournament championship.

Simpson has plenty of positive memories at The Garden.
