For a guy who physically was limited, Wilton Speight made a strong impression last weekend in Coronado, Calif.
The Michigan quarterback was there for his QB guru Steve Clarkson’s annual retreat and camp for younger prospects.
Speight often has been a steady presence for U-M, but Clarkson saw more confidence from the quarterback during camp.
“He’s always been a pretty confident young man,” Clarkson said. “He’s focusing on some of the things he needs to get better at. Obviously, he’s had to recover from off-season surgery so we limited some of the stuff he did with us because he’s not completely 100%.
