Michigan football center Mason Cole was drafted 97th overall in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals on Friday night.

He was the first Michigan player off the board, over defensive tackle Maurice Hurst.

Hurst tweeted his excitement for his former teammate.

The most durable offensive lineman in Michigan history, Cole became the program's first true freshman to open a season as a starting left tackle in 2014 and never left the lineup.
