Michigan's Katelynn Flaherty named to John R. Wooden Award midseason top 25 list

ANN ARBOR -- Katelynn Flaherty's sizzling start to the 2017-18 season hasn't gone unnoticed from women's college basketball experts.

The Michigan senior guard was named to the John R. Wooden Award midseason top 25 list on Thursday, which is chosen by a poll of national experts. The award is given at the end of the season to the most outstanding player in the sport.

Flaherty, one of three Big 10 representatives on the list, is seventh in the country at 22.9 points per game. She also is averaging 4 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game for the 23rd-ranked Wolverines (14-4, 3-2 Big Ten).
