Every March, without fail, Beilein will remind those around him of what real pressure is in this sport. One-bid conference tournaments, events he was part of in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at Canisius and in the Colonial Athletic Association with Richmond. The dance before the dance, where your entire year — and, at times, your career — comes down to one shot in a half-empty gym.
