Michigan's Hallie Thome closing in on milestones as WNBA interest rises

ANN ARBOR -- Michigan assistant women's basketball coach Melanie Moore has helped senior Hallie Thome develop into one of the best post players in the NCAA.

The 6-foot-5 Thome is a two-time All-Big Ten first-team honoree, but Moore has presented a new challenge for the talented senior this season -- reach the career 2,000-point and 1,000-rebound marks.

Thome would be the first Michigan player to accomplish that feat and believes Moore, who had 2,021 points and 1,122 rebounds while playing for Siena College, can help her reach that goal.

The fourth-year starters enters 2018-19 with 1,633 points and 676 rebounds.
