Michigan's Austin Davis undergoes right shoulder surgery, aiming for early October return

Michigan basketball announced Thursday afternoon that center Austin Davis had right shoulder surgery earlier this week.

According to a release from the team, Davis had the surgery on Monday. It was performed by Dr. James Carpenter at the Michigan Medicine Brighton Center for Specialty Care.

Davis, who will recuperate in his hometown of Onsted, is expected to recover fully and is shooting to return in early October. The college basketball season typically starts in early November.
