Michigan women's basketball holds on to advance in WNIT

It wasn't easy, but the Michigan women's basketball team is advancing again in the postseason.

The Wolverines (24-9) led by as many as 20 points in the second quarter before holding on for a 71-66 win over Wright State on Saturday afternoon at Crisler Center in the second round of the WNIT. It was the second straight year Michigan eliminated Wright State in the WNIT.

Michigan, which extended the program record for wins in a season, will advance to the next round of the tournament and face the winner of Sunday's game between Harvard and St. John's.
