Injuries are one of the worst things in sports. You can never guarantee that players are going to stay healthy. On Monday, Michigan football got a reminder of that with a season-ending injury to former five-star recruit Andrew Babalola.
The 6-foot-6, 315-pound true freshman was the highest-ranked offensive line signee in program history. After being the No. 1 pick of the sprig game draft, he was locked in a heated battle for the left tackle job, a battle that Evan Link was winning.
Now, barring a surprise, such as Blake Frazier winning the job, Link will be the starting left tackle against New Mexico and for the 2025 season.
