Monday was a busy day for Michigan Wolverines news as the Michigan football program landed a new commitment in the 2027 class, while the basketball program secured an official visit from five-star wing Anthony Thompson.
The 6-foot-7, 185-pound forward from Ohio, is ranked as the No. 8 player in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
In July, the incredibly talented left-hander, who can score on all three levels of the floor, included the Michigan Wolverines in this top seven. Now, he's scheduled six official visits to North Carolina, Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, Texas, and Kentucky, in that order.
