Michigan State's 'genuine' approach sold Michael Fletcher on Spartans

FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI -- The folks at Michigan State let Michael Fletcher know how much they wanted him in their football program but they didn't push too hard in recruiting the big defensive end from Flint Carman-Ainsworth.

That proved to be a wise strategy as Fletcher announced Friday that he was choosing Michigan State over the 22 other schools that were in the running for the All-State defensive end who will be a senior at Carman-Ainsworth next season.
