Michigan recruits give thumbs up to Kyle Whittingham despite a notable departure

Michigan has a new head coach. The Wolverines hired Kyle Whittingham on Friday after he agreed to a five-year deal.

There is no doubting Whittingham's credentials. There are pros and cons. The con is that he's 66 years old, but so what? Curt Cignetti is 64.

Yet, he's a proven winner. His teams play a physical style of football that should translate well to the Big Ten. Utah was essentially Michigan of the Pac-12.

The floor is really high with Whittingham. The ceiling depends on his ability to recruit and retain the current roster.
