Michigan pulls off another signing day surprise, flips 3-star DL Ikechukwu Iwunnah

Michigan football has added another defensive lineman to its 2021 recruiting class.

Lakeview Centennial (Texas) defensive tackle Ikechukwu Iwunnah committed to the Wolverines on national signing day.

Iwunnah, ranked as a three-star prospect, was previously committed to Colorado.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, Iwunnah is ranked the No. 1,102 overall recruit and the No. 63 defensive tackle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

He reported an offer from Michigan on Jan. 23 and also held offers from Baylor, Missouri and Texas, among others.

Iwunnah is the third defensive lineman to pick the Wolverines over the past week, joining four-star defensive lineman George Rooks, who committed to Michigan on Jan.
