In the court of social media, Jim Harbaugh sure seems to be on the hot seat.
But the man who actually decides that laughed off the suggestion during a Detroit Economic Club forum at the Westin Book Cadillac on Wednesday.
"I would confront the premise that he is not on the hot seat," Michigan president Mark Schlissel said. "He is under contract for four more years."
Harbaugh and Michigan lost to Notre Dame, 24-17, in the season opener Saturday night in South Bend, Ind.
With the loss, Michigan has lost 17 straight games against ranked teams on the road.
