Michigan paid former OC Tim Drevno $250K after resignation

ANN ARBOR -- The University of Michigan agreed to pay former assistant football coach Tim Drevno $250,000 following his resignation last month.

In a Feb. 23 separation agreement between the school and Drevno, obtained by MLive on Friday via the Freedom of Information Act, Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel called Drevno's decision to resign "disappointing" but said the school agreed to pay him a lump sum amount equal to three months salary.

Drevno -- who wrapped up his third year as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach -- signed a new five-year contract with Michigan in January 2017 that paid him $1 million annually.
