Michigan officially signs the nation's No. 1 RB after Early Signing Period scare

While not everybody put pen to paper on National Signing Day, the Michigan Wolverines didn't have any commits flip to another program, and that included a five-star prospect that the program wasn't 100 percent certain it had landed.

Five-star running back Savion Hiter committed to the Wolverines in August, but a delayed signing day had Michigan on pins and needles, waiting to make sure he would actually be joining the team next season.

Hiter, who is undeniably one of the crowned jewels in Michigan's class of 2026 recruits, had a lot of attention from a lot of other programs, including the Tennessee Volunteers, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
