As soon as Cesar Ruiz found out Michigan football had hired Josh Gattis as the team's offensive coordinator, the junior center knew he had to get to work.

Ruiz anticipated the changes that Gattis brought to the Wolverines' offense, and understood he had to adapt accordingly.

"I knew I couldn’t be running around here chubby no more," Ruiz said with a smile. "I knew I was going to have to trim up a little bit. I lost that weight, that way I can get used to running back on the ball without anything holding me back.
