Michigan not ruling out using Ambry Thomas on offense, too

ANN ARBOR -- Michigan's Ambry Thomas is already a two-way player.

The sophomore defensive back from Detroit saw action in Saturday's 24-17 loss to Notre Dame on defense and special teams, where he made the highlight reel with his 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

But what about a try on offense? Thomas played both ways at Martin Luther King High School, where he was a first-team all-state wide receiver.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh isn't ruling it out.

"I think we could," Harbaugh said this week, ahead of Michigan's Saturday home opener against Western Michigan (Noon, FS1).
