Michigan’s football program could be getting some kicking help earlier than expected.
Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton kicker Ryan Jung, previously the lone commit in the Wolverines’ 2028 recruiting class, announced Wednesday on social media that he is reclassifying to the 2027 cycle and will enroll next summer. He originally committed to Michigan in June.
“I would like to thank my family, and all the coaches that helped me with the process,” Jung wrote on X.
Jung was rated the No. 1 kicker in the 2028 class by Kohl’s Kicking before reclassifying. He transferred to Milton this offseason and is 4 of 6 on field-goal attempts this season, with a long of 50 yards.
